Los Angeles, CA is popular because of its association with the entertainment industry being home to Hollywood, entertainment companies and artists. A lot of people are engrossed with the city in the hope of seeing superstars, try their luck on the entertainment business and visit the areas that have been used in movies and sitcoms. As obnoxious as it seems, the reasons behind people coming to Los Angeles had influenced numerous businessmen to establish other industries such as telecommunications, health & medicine, fashion and apparel. Today, the city of Los Angeles is continuously gaining investors having proven that it is one of the best business capitals of the country.

The second most populous city in United States, Los Angeles has a population of more than 3 million with nearly 13 million residing in the metropolitan area. This huge population is brought about by the employment and business opportunities available in the city. Several races take residence in the city, majority of which are Whites and the rest are African American, Asian, Native American and Pacific Islander. Apart from English, Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Armenian, Chinese and Persian are spoken in the city. Most of its residents are between the ages of 25 and 54, majority of them coming from the working class. The religions professed in the city include Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Baptist, Hinduism, Buddhism and Latter-Day Saints.
Like any other city in the United States, Los Angeles also partakes in sports events. In fact, the city is home to popular teams including the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA and Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. The city also hosts sporting events including the 1932 and 1984 summer Olympic Games, Super Bowls I & VII and the international World Cup in 1994. The fancy to hold sporting events is influenced by the presence of huge sports arenas and beautiful complexes in the city such as the Staples Center.
Other attractions in Los Angeles, CA include Koreatown, Chinatown, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Getty Center, Griffith Observatory, Kodak Theater, Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood sign & Boulevard, Dodger Stadium and Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The nightlife of the city is one of the best in the country with hot spots in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Silver Lake and West Hollywood. It also has the best shopping areas including the Beverly Center, 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, The Grove, Venice Boardwalk, Westside Pavillion, Rodeo Drive and the Hollywood & Highland Complex.
